phone and your social status

My last phone broke and so I went back to the store to buy any ordinary phone that I could get for cheap, and the next upgraded phone was a smart phone, an android to be exact. The sales people told me some of the differences between that and an iphone, like the applications and the cost so I went with the cheaper. The point is that I see people with Iphones that view at as more than a useful device, but as emblem of their social status, but since other companies are coming out with smartphones it may change that. Dont get me wrong I think the Iphones are faster than androids but they both do the same tasks. Like PC or mac the same to me, but thats probably because I grew up using both of them, at home and at school, so I view it as a preference thing. I think as more smartphones become common then the difference wont be seen as much, but then it becomes about upgrading, "If it looks the same how will people know I upgraded"

Narwhals

Everytime I ask some one about these mysterious creatures no one says they even heard of them or if they have, they never really knew much about them. Well I will inform everyone about them then! They only live in the artic sea or the northpole, you know where Santa is. In some ancient Russian stories the narwhals were thought to be related to the legendary unicorns, basically making them the unicorns of the sea. A lot of people thought their tusk is a horn but it is actually growth from their teeth. Anyways thought these animals were something cool to look at

Painter Sick!!

Anyone who is into photoshop I suggest to check the program (Corel Painter) its pretty sick. For the longest time I've been using photoshop to illusrate any image or edit any image which is great, I can use it pretty fast and usually never run into any problems but it can't quite do what painter can do. With this magical wand you can make any image seem as if it were actually painted with brush strokes awesome because that can really help inspire new and different techniques. I found that messing with an image or just drawing it scratch in photoshop and then taking that image into painter afterwards, can produce something completely different looking things that I never would of fathomed. here are some examples

ROBOTS!!! Yea Right

I keep hearing more and more about new technology which is great, it makes every day much easier. New cures for diseases, new gadgets that help people organize their things, but robots!? eventually becoming smarter than humans. Terminator 2 is one of my most favorite movies ever, but I can't see that happening at all ever in the future. Even with all of the greatest scientist in the word couldn't ever put enough programming inside a machine to be smarter than a person. I think maybe robots can be able to compute things like depth or sense touching something but only in the calculator sense not like a person. Robots may be smart but they can't have human wisdom and no soul.  Although if people begin to basically put human brains in a robot body, like robo cop, then we may have a problem, because its the human mind and soul with the power of robot strength.

cryptozoology

I know there are animal lovers out there but I doubt any body has tried to take care of mystical beast. Cryptozoology is the study of  "animals whose existence has not been proven" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptozoology, which I have always thought was fascinating, if there was any type of TV show about hunting or finding these beast I was watching it and I'm using this subject for my website. I think I will have some fun with this since I think there a lot different points of view about this and I truly believe that there are animals that scientist have yet to discover. I think some X-animals, as I like to call them, may be more likely to exist than others but I will leave that writing to my website. I'm pretty open to other peoples interpretation so was wondering other perspectives on this, big foot,UFOs, chupacabra what do you guys think?

Art?

Since webdesign is under the art department I have found a new interest in becoming a kind of artist. I have never considered my self an artist, maybe a drawer at the most. As I a kid I enjoyed building legos and those k'nex if anyone remembers those. So I guess I would be a builder, but now I'm building things digitally like websites. The art classes I took like painting and drawing helped me channel more of the creative expression, putting emotion and thought together on one image. Before I've always imagined artist as introvert, beret wearing, and black/possibly dark blue navy turtle neck, but I know thats not true for the most part hahah jk.

Codes!!!!

I would say that I'm decent or ok with html and css, I mean I know mostly the basic things using dreamweaver, but I would like to know this coding better and maybe eventually learn more advanced like php and mysql.  I wish I could know all of these technical skills like the back of my hand, but I think thats pretty difficult and tedious at times. That way any idea that comes to mind I could build, create, and illustrate quickly. But I also like the design part part of website building like the layout,colors,composition, graphic designing, and some animation. If I get caught up in the coding technical side, I think it could hinder the creative side so it would be nice if could learn both simultaneously. I enjoy creating things and seeing everything in a plan come together, and its even better if I could show them off on the internet for everyone to see. I think understanding both of these concepts anyone could put their ideas or what they imagine to the computer screen.
